Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday organized a big agitation for farmers agitating against the new agriculture law on the Delhi border. He said that 76 farmers agitating on the borders of Delhi in protest of agricultural laws have passed away. Today I announce that the family of the farmer of Punjab who lost his life in the farmers movement will get Rs 5 lakh help and one member will get a government job.
Amarinder Singh also questioned the hasty passing of agricultural laws. The Captain said what is this country? Agriculture is a state subject under the schedule. Why did the Center change it without discussion in Parliament? They passed it in the Lok Sabha as they were more members. It was passed in the Rajya Sabha in chaos because they thought that things could go wrong.

Significantly, farmers from Punjab, Haryana and different parts of the country have been agitating on various boundaries of the national capital for more than a month demanding the repeal of the three new agricultural laws of the Center.
What is the matter
In September, the government implemented all three agricultural laws in a major reform in the agricultural sector. The government had said that after these laws, the role of middleman will end and farmers will be allowed to sell their produce anywhere in the country. At the same time, farmers are adamant on demanding the repeal of all three agricultural laws. The protesting farmers claim that these laws have been brought to benefit the industry and will eliminate the mandi and minimum support price (SMP) system.
