Budget session of Parliament: All-party meeting to be held on January 30, PM Modi will top
In view of the forthcoming budget session of the Parliament, an all-party meeting is to be held in the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 January, in which the government will apprise all the parties related to the session. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi gave this information on Wednesday. He informed that this meeting will be done digitally and in this connection information has been given to the leaders of all the houses of the parties.
There has been a tradition of calling an all-party meeting before the start of the Parliament session. However this time the meeting is taking place a day after the start of the session. The session starts on 29 January. Joshi said, “The all-party meeting will be held on January 30, in which the government will present the outline of the MLA’s work and will also listen to the suggestions of the opposition.”
The budget session will begin on January 29. During the session, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha will be from 9 am to 2 pm, while the proceedings of Lok Sabha will be from 4 pm to 8 pm. The session will run from 29 January 2021 to 15 February 2021 in the first phase and from 8 March 2021 to 8 April 2021 in the second phase.
