Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who refused to give a speech after the slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” at the Victoria Memorial on the occasion of Prakashti Day on 23 January, termed it an insult to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Bengal. Mamta has said that she has been teased in front of PM Narendra Modi. He said that if he was shown a gun, he could show a gun, but he believed in politics and not in guns.
Mamta Banerjee said, “I had to face taunts and insults in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Victoria Memorial event.” The BJP has insulted the eminent people of Bengal in the past and is still doing so. Mamta also said that BJP should be named ‘Bharat Jalao Party’.
