To provide employment opportunities to the urban poor, Odisha government has launched Oral deeds. The Odisha government had launched an urban wage employment initiative to generate employment during the Kovid-19 lockdown. The government has decided to convert this scheme into a full-fledged scheme called Mukta Yojana. Under this scheme, various projects will be given to urban local bodies so that they can earn their livelihood. Urban Wage Employment Initiative

During the Kovid-19 lockdown, the Odisha government has launched a temporary initiative to provide employment to the urban poor. Under this initiative, 4.5 lakh, urban poor families were provided sustainable livelihood opportunities. With the help of this employment initiative, the 114 urban local bodies of the state will be helped by an informal workforce. For this initiative, Rs 100 crore was allocated for labor-intensive projects in urban local bodies. Now, this temporary employment initiative will be converted into a complete scheme Mukta Scheme Under this initiative, more than 6000 projects have been completed with an expenditure of 70 crores and 13 lakh man-days were generated. About 3.5 lakh workers have benefitted from this initiative. Out of 3.5 lakh workers, 40% were women.

Purpose of Mukhamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan

The main objective of Mukhyamantri Karma Tatapara Abhiyan is to provide employment to the urban poor. Under the scheme, the ongoing temporary wage employment initiative will be converted into a full-fledged scheme to provide employment. Through the Chief Minister’s Karma Tatapara campaign, the livelihood weaknesses of the urban poor, including migrant laborers and informal workers, will decrease. Through this Chief Minister Karma, Tatapara Campaign There will be economic empowerment of urban informal workers. The scheme will cover women, self-help groups and slum development associations. Under Mukhyamantri Karma Tatapara Abhiyan, the wager amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account through the direct benefit transfer method.

As the Parchaya Kendra and Mission, the Shakti Griha Community Center is expected to raise more than Rs 150 crore under the Chief Minister Karma Tatapara campaign. Projects launched under Mukhyamantri Karma Tatapara Abhiyan will contribute to building resilience in communities. Under this scheme, more than 35 lakh man-days will be created per year. Public parks and local water bodies are developed on the basis of local need and availability of playgrounds. Under the Mukhyamantri Karma tatpara campaign, the urban local poor will be given a task to develop these playgrounds, public parks and new water bodies so that the projects can be completed on time and on the other hand employment to the unemployed.

To repair storm water drain

As you all know that Odisha receives a lot of rainfall during the monsoon. Therefore, for the prevention of flooding, the work of drains should be done at regular intervals. Under this scheme, water drains will be repaired to beautify urban areas.

Construction of rainwater harvesting structures
