Punjab National Bank (PNB) is going to change the rules for withdrawing money from its ATMs from February 1. PNB has taken a commendable step to curb the growing ATM (ATM) fraud across the country. If you also have a bank account in PNB, then this is news for you. From February 1, PNB customers will not withdraw money from non-EMV (EMV) ATM machines. PNB Bank has given information about this by tweeting on its official Twitter account.
PNB Bank has taken this step in view of increasing cases of fraud, so that customers’ money is protected. From February 1, customers will not conduct financial or non-financial transactions from ATMs without EMVs.
To protect our respected customers from fraudulent ATM activities, PNB will prohibit transactions (financial and non-financial) from 01.02.2021 from non-EMV ATM machines. Go Digital, Stay Safe!

Know what are non EMV ATMs
Non-EMV ATMs or illegal EMV ATMs are those in which an ATM or debit card is used. In these machines the data is read through the magnetic stripe of the card. Here the card is also locked for a few seconds.
