Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday targeted the central government over the rising fuel prices and said that people are facing inflation and the Modi government is busy collecting taxes. The former Congress president made the remark a day after the rise in prices for the fourth time in a week, after petrol and diesel prices in the country reached an all-time high.
Gandhi tweeted, “Modi ji has brought tremendous increase in GDP – gas, diesel and petrol. “People are troubled by inflation and the Modi government is busy collecting taxes,” he said. ”

Significantly, after the increase in prices, the price of petrol in Delhi has been increased to Rs 85.70 per liter and in Mumbai to Rs 92.28 per liter. By gas type, the price of diesel has been increased to Rs 75.88 per liter in Delhi and Rs 82.66 per liter in Mumbai. .
